Apache knuckle duster

Cal. 7mm Lafauchaux. S# 4726. Three way weapon designed by Louis Dolne in the 1860’s. Apache knuckle duster the guns were the preferred weapon of the Paris street gang “Les Apaches” in the 1870’s from which its name is derived. The dbl. action gun consists of a brass frame w/ external mainspring, folding trigger & 1 5/8″ six rd. long fluted cyl. w/ smooth bores.Apache knuckle duster
The fold-over knuckle duster is a weapon in itself or in open position acts as the pistol grip. Left side of action holds a 3″ dual edge foldout serpentine knife blade designed for stabbing rather than slashing.Apache knuckle duster
Right side of frame below S# is marked w/ inventor name “L. DOLNE INVer”. Weight: 13.3 oz. CONDITION: cyl. retains 80% bright blue showing spots of freckling. Hammer, trigger & knuckle duster latch retain 75% bright fire blue. Brass parts have even mellow coloration. Bores are generally smooth.
